Biography

Marek Magierowski is a Polish diplomat, journalist, and public intellectual with more than three decades of experience in international affairs. He served as Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Israel and to the United States, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the President of Poland. He currently leads the “Strategy for Poland” programme at the Freedom Institute in Warsaw.

Throughout his career, he has combined diplomatic service with analytical and media work, developing deep expertise in U.S. foreign policy, transatlantic relations, security, the Middle East, and Central Europe. His professional path reflects a consistent focus on the strategic positioning of Poland in a rapidly changing global order.

He is the author of Exhausted, a book on the European Union’s financial crisis, and the novel Twelve Photographs of the President. He has written hundreds of essays and commentaries and has been a frequent contributor to international media debates.

Marek Magierowski has delivered lectures and keynote addresses at institutions such as UC Berkeley, American University, the Catholic University of America, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the World Affairs Council. He speaks Polish, English, Spanish, and Hebrew.
