Biography

Orkhan Yolchuyev is a policy analyst and research director specializing in regional connectivity, transport corridors, and cross-border economic integration across the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the broader Eurasian space. Serves as Co-Founder and Director of the CASPIA Analytical Center (Center for Analysis of Strategic Policy and International Affairs) in Azerbaijan, formerly operating under the name STEM Analytical Center prior to institutional rebranding.

Professional work focuses on the intersection of geopolitics, infrastructure development, and geoeconomic transformation, with particular emphasis on how transport systems, logistics corridors, and trade architecture shape regional power balances and long-term economic resilience. Analytical approach integrates strategic geopolitical assessment with applied policy research, focusing on structural trends in Eurasian connectivity and evolving patterns of interdependence between Europe and Asia.

Research portfolio includes in-depth analysis of major transregional infrastructure initiatives, including the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route), East–West logistics frameworks, and strategic transport projects linking Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia.  Work further addresses the institutional and regulatory dimensions of connectivity, including border efficiency regimes, interoperability of transport systems, and the role of emerging corridors in reshaping global supply chains. Visiting Expert at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty), Caucasus International University (Tbilisi), and Baku Eurasian University, focusing on Eurasian geopolitics, transport diplomacy, and the evolving architecture of connectivity systems.

CASPIA (Center for Analysis of Strategic Policy and International Affairs) functions as an independent analytical and research institution dedicated to the study of international relations, geoeconomics, energy systems, security dynamics, and transformational processes across the wider Eurasian region.
